UCC wishes to appoint an experienced academic to the role of Lecturer in Environmental Geography to complement and expand the Department's existing interdisciplinary research and teaching interests in sustainability and human- environment relationships. The department wishes to develop its current environmental geography focus in areas such as landscape ecology, environmental change, conservation, energy transitions, resource management, and biogeography. The appointee will be expected to develop international links and funding and collaborate with research groups within UCC such as IS21, MaREI and the Environmental Research Institute. Reporting to the Head of Department, the successful candidate for this lectureship will provide environmental geography teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and be able to contribute to core modules in geography. In addition, the appointee will be expected to support the development of the BA/BSc and MA/MSc programmes within the Geography Department.

Appointment may be made on the Lecturer (Below the Bar) Salary Scale: €37,168 - €65,127 (Scale B) / €39,156 - €61,971 (Scale A)
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
