Grade 7 - £36,386 - £40,931 per annum, dependent on experience

If you have the ability to design and deliver high quality and challenging
learning experiences that inspire and motivate students from a range of
disciplines to engage with the subject, and are keen to engage in pedagogic
developments, we would love to hear from you.
In addition to a PhD, well-developed subject knowledge is vital, including an
understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues relevant to
engineering mathematics. Effective delivery of Mathematics teaching and
research is vital to our success.
This post is to develop and contribute to the delivery of mathematics to
students on the various branches of the Engineering programme at SHU
(including mechanical, electrical, materials, design and railway
engineering) and to deliver material on our highly regarded BSc Physics
The ideal candidate, therefore, will have a strong background in Physics and
be able to demonstrate a high level of ability in delivering deliver applied
mathematics to non-maths students.
It is expected that you will also engage with research and scholarly activity
including pedagogic research.
