School of Computer Science and Mathematics
The School of Computer Science and Mathematics offers a variety of BSc and MSc
programmes in Computer Science, Cyber and Network Security, Computer Games
Programming, User Experience, Digital Media and Data Science, and holds a
silver award for excellence in cyber security education from the UK's National
Cyber Security Centre. The School's Digital Information Research Centre
performs internationally recognised research in Computer Science, spanning
artificial intelligence, computer vision and human-centred computing.
Two Lecturer positions are currently available, one principally in Mathematics
allied to Computer Science, Data Science or AI, and the other in Computer
Science with a specialism in User Experience. The ideal candidates will have
an established track record in one or more of these areas, and the ability to
collaborate with current members of the School in their areas of expertise.
However, we will also consider applicants who can complement our existing
portfolio and can demonstrate a developing outstanding research profile.
We welcome applications from talented and enthusiastic individuals who are
passionate about delivering excellent teaching and student support, having
achieved or working towards FHEA, and will enhance existing research strengths
in the School of Computer Science and Mathematics.
Applicants will be required to demonstrate that they meet the Kingston
University standards in learning and teaching, and research. By the end of the
probation period, you must have achieved the relevant level of UKPSF
recognition (if this has not already been obtained). For those new to
teaching, this will be through our accredited Introduction to Learning and
Teaching and for those experienced in teaching, through our Kingston Academic
Practice Standards Framework.

There are 2 full time, permanent positions with a starting salary of £41,131
