The School Architecture, Technology and Engineering prides itself on providing a welcoming, supportive, and positive working environment. We are seeking to appoint a lecturer to join our vibrant Civil Engineering team.

Your role will be to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses within Civil Engineering area, and you will contribute to the design and teaching of the material / modules on Civil Engineering in general, and hydraulics and fluid mechanics in particular, as well as offering final year projects in these areas. You should also demonstrate a commitment to high quality learning and teaching across all levels of Higher Education within the UK and internationally. You will also be supported to gain an accredited UK teaching qualification.

All our academic staff act as personal tutors to provide pastoral care to our students. The role requires listening, interpersonal and pastoral care skills to deal with sensitive issues concerning students, appreciate individual students' needs and circumstances, and refer students as appropriate to the specialist services that can provide further help.

This is a full-time post (37.0 hours per week), however we welcome applications from candidates seeking job share.
