If you are passionate about children's nursing and education and would like to make a difference to patient and client care, then the Department of Nursing and Midwifery would love to hear from you.

In one of the largest providers of nurse education in the UK, you will be working with a large, vibrant community of academics, practitioners and researchers with a commitment to providing high quality, research informed teaching, to ensure active learning.

You will join a team of academic practitioners, innovating, teaching and supporting student nurses across the undergraduate and postgraduate curricula. You will also support a range of post-registration teaching to registrants accessing our CPD portfolio, alongside opportunities to be involved in research and project work.

You will need:

  • The ability to design and deliver transformative and innovative learning experiences.
  • Knowledge and understanding of critical, practical, and theoretical issues relevant to children's nursing and the health and social care agenda.
  • Experience of teaching, training or supervising undergraduate and postgraduate nursing or other healthcare professionals in a practice or academic environment.
  • Current NMC registration as a Children's Nurse and evidence of on-going professional development.
  • This is an excellent opportunity to pursue a rewarding and fulfilling career in a supportive environment. If you are looking for a flexible role where you have the opportunity to manage your own time around teaching, scholarly activity, supporting students and the business needs of the department then this could be the role for you.
