  • About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer, Exercise and Sport Science.

    The Lecturer in Exercise and Sport Science will join the dedicated team at Swinburne University of Technology delivering the BA-Exercise & Sport Science course, which is accredited at the Exercise Scientist (AES) level by Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA).

    The primary roles will be in the areas of Motor Control and Motor Learning, where the Lecturer will contribute to the curriculum and be responsible for the teaching of core undergraduate units. Additionally, the incumbent will be expected to deliver and/or contribute to other undergraduate units within the school.

    You will contribute to work integrated learning and develop a strong research profile with the ability to attract research funding. It is anticipated the Lecturer would supervise Honours, and postgraduate students in their field of expertise.

    About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

    • Contribute to the development and implementation of effective learning and teaching practices within the university. • Preparation and delivery of tutorials, lectures, practical's and/or seminars. • Prepare, assess, and provide appropriate feedback to students. • Prepare and deliver materials in exercise and sport science, including using digital learning technologies and discipline specific teaching and learning tools. • Conduct practice-based research and scholarship activities, both individually and as a member of a team. • Contribute to the preparation of refereed journal publications, conference and seminar papers arising from the research. • Support and maintain a high quality and productive academic environment for staff and students. • Enhance the reputation of your discipline, department and school through external forums, high quality teaching and high-quality research, both nationally and internationally.

    Qualifications • A doctoral qualification in Exercise and Sport Science.
