Job description

0.4 FTE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Radiography in the School of Health and Rehabilitation, one of four professional Schools in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Radiographer to teach across the School's undergraduate curriculum in both University and clinical settings.

The School offers high quality undergraduate and postgraduate provision and is part of a wider research community via the Faculty Research Institutes. Radiography is a very successful programme which consistently achieves top 5 in the National Student Survey and has been second in the UK for the past two years. You will play a part in the development of educational initiatives aligned with the School strategic direction, and will pursue scholarly activities in line with the School focus. You will be an HCPC registered Radiographer (or equivalent), with an appreciation of the principles of teaching and learning in higher education. Although the priority for the School is to appoint a Radiographer with diagnostic ultrasound experience we will consider applications from Radiographers with current or previous substantive experience of general Radiography. Depending upon the profile of the successful candidate it may be possible to explore longer term career development opportunities that involve research.

The School is situated at the heart of Keele University's beautiful and vibrant campus. The University has excellent transport links and is situated within an hour of the cities of Manchester and Birmingham. The School has Athena SWAN bronze status.

Keele University values equality and diversity across our workforce and to ensuring our staff community is reflective of the diversity of our student population. In support of these commitments the University welcomes applications from individuals of Black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds for all roles.

Please note this appointment is subject to both medical clearance by the University's Occupational Health provider and a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Keele University employees wishing to apply should login to Employee Self Service and click on the 'View current vacancies' link.

Please contact Anne O'Brien, Head of School (a.v.o'brien@keele.ac.uk) for further information or to arrange an informal visit. Telephone: 01782 734191
