FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Counseling, Leadership Literacy and Special Education seeks applicants for a lecturer position in Counselor Education: School Counseling to teach in our CACREP-Accredited, hybrid M.S.Ed. program. Successful candidates demonstrate excellence in teaching, service, and anti-racist, anti- oppressive advocacy and leadership to engage and inspire our economically, culturally, and linguistically diverse Bronx and surrounding community candidates, colleagues, and K-20 schools.
Teaching graduate courses in Counselor Education: School Counseling M.S.Ed. program
Engaging in service to the CLLSE department, School of Education, Lehman College, CUNY, and professional associations/Bronx/NYC community
Collaborating with faculty on projects related to program assessment and development (e.g. new master's CMHC and doctoral programs, CACREP accreditation, etc.)
Participating in professional counseling organizations such as the American Counseling Association, Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, American School Counselor Association, National Association for College Admission Counseling, and state, regional, and city branches.

QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. degree in Counselor Education: School Counseling or equivalent. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
Qualified candidates must demonstrate equity and social justice awareness, knowledge, and skills with Counselor Education: School Counseling in ongoing twin pandemics of COVID19 and racism. Finally, the successful applicant will have outstanding collaboration skills to engage with program faculty colleagues, alumni, site supervisors, K-20 school and community partners, our advisory council, and candidates to promote and support exemplary program assessment and development. Strong interpersonal skills with students and excellent administrative and organizational skills are expected.
Experience in working with diverse populations across intersectional identities is expected.
Experience with economically, culturally, and linguistically diverse populations
Experience with online teaching and digital technology to enhance teaching and learning
Knowledge and skills with CACREP standards at the master's and/or doctoral levels
Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment.
COMPENSATION
CUNY offers faculty a competitive compensation and benefits package covering health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs. Salary: $82,719-$87,223
