About the position
This role offers the opportunity for an outstanding candidate to contribute to the School's advancement in teaching and research. The role provides opportunities to further develop our undergraduate and postgraduate business analytics courses and support the delivery of high-quality teaching and research.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have a well-developed research agenda and record of research publications in the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) ranked A and A journals and/or Scopus Q1 journals in the field of business analytics and related areas. Expertise in the areas of artificial intelligence and automation and technical skills and capabilities working with social media and big data are highly desirable as well as the potential to contribute to business-related analytics applications including to the marketing, finance, supply chain and accounting domains. The successful candidate will have an excellent record in curriculum development and teaching in the field of data and business analytics. Experience with active learning and blended learning delivery, authentic assessment design and broad and innovative pedagogy knowledge is expected. The successful candidate will also have academic administration experience and understand the needs of a diverse range of students. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collegially are also key requirements of this role.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements
The University's Health and Safety Procedure – COVID-19 Vaccination and Other Measures , requires staff engaged to perform work onsite at La Trobe University to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they are exempt from being vaccinated due to a recognised medical contraindication. This position will require the incumbent to work onsite. As such, an offer of employment will be conditional upon the applicant being Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19 or medically exempt from receiving a COVID-19 vaccination and providing satisfactory evidence of their vaccination or exemption status to the University.
