Lecturer (Level B) - $102,952-$121,779 - 3 year fixed-term contract plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

Fixed term position until 1 November 2025.

Lecturer Level B 0.5 FTE in Architecture and Regenerative Design.

The School of Architecture and Built Environment seeks enthusiastic educators to teach Regenerative Design in the discipline of Architecture in the successful Joint Program between the University of Adelaide and Nantong University, established in 2018, which is approved by the Ministry of Education, China.

This Joint Program is offered alongside the Bachelor of Architectural Design in the School of Architecture and Built Environment. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to teach in Adelaide and China and to enjoy the rich collegial relationship that has been built between the two universities. Nantong University is a modern, vibrant residential campus in the city of Nantong which is located near Shanghai in Jiangsu province.

The School of Architecture and Built Environment seeks an individual with high quality interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills who will contribute to professional architectural education in our dynamic, progressive School conveniently located in the heart of the historic North Terrace campus.

To be successful you will need:

  • Master of Architecture and professional practice experience in Architecture.
  • Availability to teach undergraduate courses in intensive modes (3-4 weeks per course excluding travel time to China).
  • Demonstrated recent ability to coordinate, prepare and deliver undergraduate courses in Regenerative Design in the discipline of Architecture using modern pedagogy techniques that foster student engagement.
  • Enthusiasm to teach core courses in Architecture and Regenerative Design in Studio and in core courses focusing on Design and Environment in the Bachelor of Architectural Design and the established Joint Program between University of Adelaide with Nantong University, China.
  • Demonstrated recent ability to deliver high quality learning and teaching outcomes evident in student and/or peer evaluation.
