The School of Architecture and Civil Engineering is one of Australia's leading educators across the disciplines of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering. An exciting opportunity exists for two lecturer or senior lecturer to join the Civil Engineering Discipline that has been ranked #36 in the world for Civil Engineering, #33 for water resources and #51 for Civil and Structural Engineering – and top in South Australia.

To be successful you will need:
Level B
1. A PhD in Civil Engineering specialising in one of structural engineering, material engineering, material engineering, architectural engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering or water resources engineering.
2. A strong track record of publications in high ranking journals.
3. Demonstrated willingness and ability to teach a broad range of design and analysis courses to students in the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering using modern pedagogy techniques that foster student engagement.
4. Ability to undertake independent research, including an ability to write competitive research proposals.
5. Ability to liaise and partner with government authorities, consultants and/or industry to develop industry related research programs.
6. Demonstrated high-level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills that engender strong leadership potential and working effectively as part of a team.
7. Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion, and ability to contribute to the diversity of the school community.
Level C
1. A PhD in Civil Engineering specialising in structural engineering, material engineering, architectural engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering or water resources engineering.
2. A strong track record of publications in high-ranking journals.
3. Demonstrated willingness and ability to teach a broad range of design and analysis courses to students in the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering and a proven track record of using modern pedagogy techniques that foster student engagement.
4. Demonstrated track record of undertaking independent research and securing competitive research grants.
5. Ability to liaise and partner with government authorities, consultants and/or industry to develop industry related research programs.
6. Demonstrated ability of successful supervision of higher degree by research students, as evidenced by completions.
7. Demonstrated high-level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills that engender strong leadership potential and working effectively as part of a team.
8. Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion, and ability to contribute to the diversity of the school community.
