Job title: Lector Field and specialization: Czech Studies in the field of Czech Culture and History Expected salary/job rank: L1 Full-time position: 70 % (28 hours per week)

Job description:

  • conducting practical seminars and other basic forms of teaching, ensuring other forms of pedagogical activities (e.g. member of commission for state bachelor's examinations)
  • participation in methodical conferences and workshops in the field
  • contribution to the preparation of methodological and teaching materials
  • supervision and revision of students' theses
  • share in basic administrative activities of the institute

  • MA degree in the field of Czech Studies and Literature/History (or related field)
  • university teaching experience

  • English language enabling teaching and publishing activities (level B2 and higher)

    Eligibility criteria

  • structured CV including professional experiences.
  • summary of expert, teaching, and publication activities
  • copies of educational documents (translated into Czech, if applicable)
  • lesson plan exemplar (level CEFR B2; including a category of aspect; 2 pages A4) and sample teaching (15 minutes)
  • draft syllabus of one course (title, annotation, thematic areas of individual seminars)
  • detailed career plan for the next three years
