Job Description:

Bellarmine University is seeking a Leadership Annual Giving Officer-Athletics (LAG.) This position will work with the Development Team, the Athletics Department, and the coaches to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, engage, and steward a portfolio of assigned prospects to meet university Development goals. The LAG will partner on direct communications and marketing programs to educate and motivate alumni, parents, and friends of the programs to make a gift. LAG will facilitate frequent virtual and in-person meetings with potential and current donors at various locations locally, regionally, and nationally. Due to the nature of this position, night and weekend hours are required to attend events and meet donors and could include some overnight travel. Goals are set to increase the number of athletics donors and increase the amount raised to support Bellarmine's NCAA Division I Athletics Program and the specific athletics teams. This is a regular, full-time, 12-month position.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Self-motivated and desire to work individually and as a team for the betterment of the University as a whole
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills for the engagement, solicitation, and stewardship of donors
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to build relationships across diverse populations and constituencies
  • Ability to work across multiple technology platforms and systems
  • Preferred :

  • 1-3 years of Development experience or related experience in sales, marketing, or customer service
  • Experience in university athletics as a staff member or former student athlete
