This is a part-time benefits-eligible position. Benefits include retirement and 6 credit hours per academic year in education assistance for the employee.

Working hours:

Arrange a classroom to facilitate learning and meet the needs of each child individually.
Serve as a Lead Teacher for a group of children that may range in age from six weeks through ten years, in a child care setting.
Observe, assess, and assemble developmental records on children in their care.
Plan and organize classroom activities/experiences to facilitate and enhance learning for the children in their classroom.
Education & Formal Training Associate's degree (Specify field(s) of study below), Bachelor's degree (Specify field(s) of study below), High school diploma or equivalent Other Education & Formal Training
Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) – Infant/Toddler or Preschool OR
Associate's degree in the following field(s) of study: Early Childhood Education, Child & Family Development or Elementary Education OR
Bachelor's degree in the following field(s) of study: Early Childhood Education, Child & Family Development or Elementary Education
Computer Skills Word-Processing, Desktop Publishing, Other - Utilize application of Ipad Experience
At least nine (9) months of experience working in a formal child care program setting.
Other Experience Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position: Criminal History check, Child care security check, Fingerprinting, Driver's license Other Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements
Child care security check: Family Care Safety Registry
Fingerprinting required by licensing BEFORE employment.
Missouri Class E license optional or ability to achieve this license for field trips or outings in the university 15 passenger van.
