Job description

The Faculty of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences is seeking to appoint a Lead for Clinical Anatomy to make a significant contribution to the academic development, course management, teaching and knowledge transfer activities in the area of clinical anatomy. The post holder will work closely with the Executive Dean and Heads of School in order to ensure that appropriate strategy is developed for the integration of clinical anatomy into all relevant programs both UG and PG and lead the cross faculty anatomy team to ensure its delivery. The post holder will undertake a strategic/ facilitatory role in empowering and training clinical staff to teach applied anatomy & the development of feedback loops with students.

The successful applicant will hold a degree in Medicine and a higher degree or qualification in a relevant clinical subject. A strong record of successful academic leadership in clinical anatomical education, including programme and curriculum development, planning, delivery and assessment is essential as well as experience in providing and teaching a clinically related curriculum content.

As a self-motivated and pro-active individual, the successful applicant will have effective and strong leadership skills, including people and project management. Excellent communications skills, the ability to energise others to achieve goals and strong team working skills are essential.
