Position Information

UC Riverside's Campus Business Services is recruiting for a Laborer. This job posting is for a Limited position, which may not exceed 1,000 working hours in a 12-month consecutive period. This limited appointment Laborer will assist Campus Business Services (CBS) with moving office furniture, computer equipment, and other materials out of the University Extension building. CBS assists with the reutilizing and repurposing of the excess materials generated at UCR. For materials that can't be resold, we coordinate the pick-up and recycling wherever possible. This position will organize and move inventory, coordinate inventory showings, deliver inventory, and respond to related customer inquiries.

As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. All Covered Individuals under the policy must provide proof of Full Vaccination or submit a request for Exception (based on Medical Exemption, Disability, and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral (based on pregnancy) no later than the applicable deadline. For new University of California employees, the applicable deadline is ten weeks after their first date of employment.

Must possess or obtain a Valid CA Driver License in accordance with the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Required Hired candidate must successfully pass a background check through the DOJ and FBI. Required

Minimum Requirements

Ability to perform heavy manual tasks and follow oral and written instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of UCR departments.

Proficient computer skills (MS Office, etc.).

Proficient data entry skills.
