    About the Role:

    This new role has been created to support our growth in medical and pharmaceutical science teaching and research. As a Laboratory Technician, ideally with experience in cell and molecular biology and microbiology, you will join a dynamic and successful team within the School of Allied and will focus on the delivery of courses to both undergraduate and postgraduate students; including BSc (Hons) courses of Medical Science and, BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science and MSc Pharmaceutical Science. In this role, you will work with other technicians and assist with the preparation of materials and equipment for teaching and research to our students.

    Ideally with a degree in life science, you will have A levels, or equivalent, in Chemistry and Biology. You would benefit from relevant previous experience and familiarity with the handling of chemicals and scientific equipment, and a good understanding of laboratory safety is essential. You will also be required to keep stock checks, place orders, assist with relevant audits, take care of deliveries and invoices as well as maintain accurate departmental records.
