Provide comprehensive technical and operational support to the Vermont Integrated Genomics Resource (VIGR) to include sample preparation, general maintenance and operation of the instruments that are used to generate data and conduct research, delivery of data, user support, and general support for multiple lab operations. Provide instruction and support on shared equipment operation.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor's Degree in Biology or a related science and one year of experience in laboratory research required. Effective organizational skills required. Ability to work effectively with a team for projects requiring inter- and intra-core services required. Effective interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task required.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience with microarray experiments desirable.

A 6 month probationary period is required.
