Project Manager (Integrated Academic Training Programme) Kent and Medway Medical School Location: Canterbury

Salary: £36,386 to £40,931 per annum Grade: Grade 7 Post Type: Full Time Contract Type: Fixed Term - 12 Months Release Date: Monday 13 November 2023 Closing Date: 23.59 hours GMT on Monday 20 November 2023 (unless otherwise stated) Reference: KMMS-260-23

If you have experience in managing projects, and can demonstrate strength in liaising with internal and external stakeholders and have an interest in clinical academic training or research, this role within our Kent and Medway Medical School (KMMS) could be just right for you.

Working closely with up to five NHS trusts and three universities, in the first instance this role will focus on setting up the Integrated Academic Training programme in line with a key KMMS objective to support the development of clinical academics and build capacity in diverse areas of research.

As a Project Manager you will:

  • effectively manage all aspects of the IAT project from inception to delivery
  • coordinate and steer project activities including the line management and/or supervision of other staff, partners and stakeholders
  • establish sustainable processes and systems
  • identify and make recommendations for improvements to contribute to the continuous improvement of projects and processes
  • get involved in supporting the creation of a research culture in KMMS
  • To be successful in this role you will have/be:

  • educated to A-Level or equivalent
  • significant experience in the successful oversight and hands-on delivery of projects
  • excellent IT skills, particularly in the use of MS Office packages, databases and project planning tools
  • excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to develop excellent working relationships
  • excellent facilitation skills, able to lead workshops involving all forms of stakeholders to achieve agreed outcomes
