We're looking for a hard-working, proactive Kitchen Porter to join our Hospitality Department!Responsibilities will include:
The successful candidate should work well within a team and have experience of working in a kitchen porter/general porter role and providing an excellent standard of customer service. A current driving licence is essential to this role. Previous experience of using email and finance/stock computer software would be an advantage.
The role includes early morning, evening and weekend working on a 5 out of 7 days per week contract (36.5 hours per week). We are open to consider a variety of flexible work options, including part time or compressed hours, so if you are unable to work the hours advertised, but would like to explore alternative flexible options, then we would still love to hear from you. Please note your preferred work options in your application form.
Training and uniform are provided, and there are opportunities to develop in the role and seek promotion into supervisory roles.
The University Hospitality Department provides catering to students, staff and external customers throughout the academic year and during the summer months. There are numerous outlets run by the Hospitality Department offering a range of food and drink options.
