  • JOB GOAL:

    To advance the college's mission, vision, principles, values and strategic initiatives through continuous improvement decisions.

    KICK Camps start 6/12 and will run until 8/10. Morning camps are 9-12 pm, and afternoon camps 1-4 pm. Instructors choose which days and sessions they prefer to teach.

    There are no camps held on Fridays or the week of July 3rd.

    GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

    Seeking a culinary instructor for Kirkwood Interactive Camps for Kids (KICK). Culinary camps are offered to children ages 10-15 during the summer months. Each camp is 3 hours long, and can range from 1 day to a length of 4 days. Instructors are in charge of designing the camp(s) and teaching safe kitchen skills to campers as they execute different recipes. The instructor is in charge of maintaining and cleaning the kitchen. Qualifications: Must be ServSafe certified and have experience working in an industrial kitchen

  • DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate basic kitchen skills and techniques to campers.
  • Provide a safe environment for campers to learn culinary skills.
  • Clean and maintain the kitchen.
  • Consistently attend scheduled work shifts.
  • Facilitate an outstanding participant experience by giving exemplary service.
  • Effectively communicate with participants and Continuing Education Staff.
  • Answer questions and provide resources as appropriate to participants.
  • Perform other related work duties as assigned.
