Offer DescriptionThe Cell Biology and Cancer Department (https: // institut- curie.org/unit/umr144) at Institut Curie in Paris, France is seeking a Junior Group Leader whose primary focus is in cell biology. The Department covers a broad spectrum of topics and fosters quantitative and interdisciplinary approaches.
The newly recruited group will benefit from an environment comprising internationally renowned labs in biology, chemistry and biophysics and a long history of interdisciplinary research and fruitful interactions between different teams. Appropriate laboratory space for 6-7 people and a start-up package including salary support for the candidate will be available.
The institute facilities include an advanced imaging platform with a wide variety of microscopes, from confocal imaging to super-resolution, for live cell and small animal imaging, electron microscopy and cryo-EM. Other facilities include single-cell technologies, small molecule and CRISPR screening, high throughput sequencing, bioinformatics, proteomics and mass spectrometry, antibody technologies and protein purification, cytometry and animal housing (https: // science.institut-curie.org/platforms). In addition, the proximity to the Curie Hospital allows access to large clinical databases and sample collections.

Applicants should have a PhD, postdoctoral research experience and a strong interest to work in a diverse and dynamic research environment. We are looking for applicants with an excellent track record and the capacity to develop an exciting research program (experimental or theoretical) in any area of cell biology. Candidates are expected to establish and develop interactions with other teams of the Department. We work on various aspects of cell biology including intracellular trafficking, cell signaling, molecular motors, cytoskeleton organization, cell migration, cell division and polarity, cell mechanics, morphogenesis, cell metabolism, cell size control, nuclear organization, aging and cancer.

Eligibility criteria
The candidate needs to hold a PhD and have several years of post-doctoral experience.
Selection process
