    Position description

    The Igarashi Laboratory at the University of California Irvine is seeking a highly-motivated Jr. Specialist to help manage a state-of-the-art systems neuroscience laboratory. The successful applicant will interface with team members to provide general research support and to help with running electrophysiological/behavioral/histological experiments, managing mouse colonies, and general lab management.

    We are looking for individuals that are highly organized, posses excellent communication skills, enjoy working in a team environments, and be comfortable handling and caring for rodents. Preference will be given to applicants with previous research experience, and experience in any of the following areas: behavior experiments, histology, or electrophysiology. The successful applicant will start in summer 2023 and be prepared to commit to the position for a period of at least two years.

    The Igarashi Laboratory is the member of the Department of Anatomy & Neurobiology in the UC Irvine Medical School. This position will be part of a highly supportive and diverse research environment with excellent career development opportunities.
