Estates & Facilities Professional & Business Support Grade 5, £25,742 to £29,605 dependent on experience
An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen within Estates and Facilities for a fully qualified and experienced Joiner to join the Estates Infrastructure & Compliance team. As a part of the Estates Infrastructure and Compliance team, you will be joining a positive and proactive team that is focused on high quality service delivery.
As a Joiner at Sheffield Hallam, you will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient service across the University, showcasing your developed skillset across our diverse portfolio of buildings so that we deliver a high-quality environment for our students.
The core focus of the role is to provide reactive maintenance of our buildings. However, there is diversity within the role to work on new installations and minor projects.
The role will work under the Trades Supervisor and alongside other Joiners and Allied Trades professionals.

Ideally you will bring a proactive, ‘can do' attitude to the daily activities and positive energy to the whole team so that we can continue to meet and exceed our students' expectations. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively to deliver a professional, inclusive, and responsive service.
• The role will require the candidate work from Monday to Friday as the normal working week.
• There may, on occasion, be a requirement and opportunities for overtime on evenings and weekends to meet the business need.
• The role requires the candidate to be part of the ‘On-Call' service which includes evenings and weekends.
• All applicants must have a full UK driving licence.
• Basic IT knowledge is required in the form of accessing mobile device applications and basic computer programmes.
• Training will be provided to the successful candidate on our Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system.
• Health and Safety knowledge is a key part of the role.
