Adjunct CADD Instructor: Instructs courses in drafting technology using
computers and current computer software. Instructs in a variety of settings
and formats, including dual credit, online, hybrids, and occasionally
weekends/evenings.
The salary rate for this position is $650.00 per credit hour.
Responsibilities
75% Teaches no more than 9 credit hours of Computer Aided Design and
Drafting courses per long Semester (Fall/Spring); meets classes as
assigned and provides assistance to students outside of class.
10% Contributes to the campus assessment process by measuring and
reporting student learning outcomes as directed to meet THECB Core
Objectives and SACSCOC requirements. Coordinates assessment for college
readiness. Performs necessary administrative functions, and prepares
students for a career in engineering design drafting.
10% Works as a team member in the Industrial Technologies Department;
collaborates with leaders from local manufacturing industries; complies
with the "faculty responsibilities' as outlined in the Faculty Handbook
and the College's Policy and Procedure Manual.
5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.

Qualifications
An A.A.S. Degree in CADD, Architecture, or a related field from a
regionally accredited college or university is required.
Requires 3 plus years of professional experience as a design drafter to
include orthographic projection, sectioning, auxiliary views,
dimensioning, production tolerancing, and descriptive geometry.
Demonstrated ability in the use of AUTOCAD and Microstation CAD Systems,
and related concepts used in Drafting & Design Technology.
Requires knowledge, experience, and understanding of AUTOCAD, Autodesk
Inventor, Revit Architecture, Creo, SolidWorks, 3D AUTOCAD, Geometrical
Dimensioning, and Tolerance.
Must have a demonstrated ability to engage students in the learning
process and proven commitment to student success.
Must maintain a collegial attitude with college community as well as
outside entities.
Must exhibit a cooperative attitude and excellent team skills.
Must have strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple
assignments.
Requires excellent communication and organizational skills.
The preferred candidate will have at least two years of teaching
experience and experience tracking student learning outcomes, analyzing
resultant data, and implementing improvement plans.
