ADN Clinical Adjunct: Supervises student clinical learning experiences in
the Associate Degree Nursing program in accordance with the Board of Nursing
and Grayson College Associate Degree Nursing policies and procedures. Saturday
Clinicals may be available for fall 2023.
This is a part-time position which pays $35.00/hour.
Responsibilities
45% Provides instruction in the clinical settings as assigned. Supervises
student clinical learning experiences in the affiliate agency or
alternative practice setting with a faculty to student ratio of 1:10.
20% Facilitates clinical experiences to meet clinical objectives and
maintains collegial attitude with clinical sites.
15% Works as a team member in the Associate Degree Nursing Department;
complies with the “faculty responsibilities” as outlined in the Faculty
Handbook and the College's Policy and Procedure Manual.
15% Provides verbal and written formative and summative evaluation of
students and clinical experiences to measure the attainment of objectives.
Assists with supervision of various learning activities in skills lab and
simulation lab.
5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Associate Degree Nursing
Program Director.

Qualifications
A Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university is
required.
A minimum of three years of current professional clinical nursing
experience is required.
Previous successful experience teaching in an educational environment is
preferred.
Must hold a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas.
Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the
college for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building
relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
Demonstrated ability to engage students in the learning process and proven
commitment to student success.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to lead both faculty and students to achieve goals.
Highly organized and able to handle multiple assignments.
Strong computer skills.
Experience tracking student learning outcomes, analyzing resultant data,
and implementing improvement plans.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements designated by the clinical
agencies.
Does require the ability to physically stand for prolonged periods of
time, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, lift patients, and move from
room to room or maneuver in limited spaces.
This position requires submission of original transcripts and three
