Overview

Instructs corequisite lab classes in Mathematics.

The salary for this position is $600.00 per credit hour.

Responsibilities
  • 75% Teaches no more than 9 credit hours per semester, courses may include college algebra, statistics, and quantitative reasoning corequisite lab classes.
  • 10% Works as a team member in the Mathematics & Engineering Department; complies with all faculty responsibilities as outlined college policies and procedures.
  • 10% Contributes to campus assessment process by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes as directed to meet THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC requirements.
  • 5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.

    Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in mathematics or related field an accredited college or university is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage students in the learning process and proven commitment to student success.
  • Collegial attitude with college community as well as outside entities.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Excellent computer and multi-media skills.
