IT Technician in the Learning Environment Services Team in the Information Technology Services (ITS) (Ref.: 523724)
ITS provides central IT services to support the University's teaching, learning, research and administrative activities. ITS is transforming its organization to support its new strategic development and strategic adoption of new technologies. We are seeking high caliber candidates to support different IT services and new development. Information about ITS can be obtained at https: // www. its.hku.hk/.
The Role
The appointee will provide technical assistance in supporting centrally timetabled classrooms. He/She will maintain and resolve issues related to classroom equipment (both audio-visual and IT), provide general classroom support including hotline services, and perform other duties as assigned. He/She will be required to work on shift, during weekends, and on public holidays occasionally.
Qualifications and Qualities
Applicants should possess a diploma or above in Information Technology, Engineering, Multi-Media, Theatre and Entertainment Arts or related discipline, with at least 3 years relevant post-qualification experiences in audio-visual fields. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and strong communication, customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills. They should be self-motivated and a good team player. Preference will be given to those with certification on ITIL, CTS and relevant experience in project management. Experience in audio-visual's industry will be an advantage.

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years and commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
