IT Project Manager (at the rank of IT Manager) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 522630) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in information technology or related disciplines, with at least 5 years' relevant experience in IT project management. They should have excellent project management, communication and interpersonal skills; a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; and familiarity with IT best practice. A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate would be an advantage.
The appointee will plan, execute and manage various infrastructure and application projects. He/She will prepare progress reports, oversee project life-cycles, manage the projects' on-boarding service, identify and address project risks to ensure the projects are delivered on-track, on-time and on- budget with proper documentation. Other duties include managing the performance of contractors and other external service providers, designing procurement strategy (such as evaluation criteria, procurement timeline, proposed tenderer list, tender briefing, and other relevant tendering activities), preparing and evaluating tender documents and proposals, conducting technical feasibility studies for projects and identifying potential supplier risks.
