IT Officer (holding the functional title of Design and Communications Officer) in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Ref.: 523583) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Graphic, Multimedia, Web design, Information Technology or related disciplines, with at least 3 years' experience in public relations, communication, copy editing, digital and printed content production for stakeholder engagement in education establishments. They should have a good command of both written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Proficiency in Mac OS, Adobe Creative suite (including Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Premiere and Dreamweaver) is highly desirable. Good knowledge of working with WordPress and familiarity with HTML / HTML5 / CSS would be an advantage.
The appointee will be responsible for creating contents for website and social media platforms; producing graphic design artwork and multimedia contents for printed materials and for various events; photo-taking, editing and video production; providing technical support to events and functions to the Department; and performing other tasks as assigned by the Head and senior administrators of the Department.
