Do you have the skills and abilities to become an examination invigilator for the University of Kent at our Canterbury campus?

We are now inviting applications for Invigilators for the summer of 2023. The Central Student Administration Office and its team of Invigilators are responsible for ensuring that University examinations run as smoothly and efficiently as possible and in accordance with the Conduct of Examinations regulations.

Invigilators are engaged on a temporary basis. The rate of pay is £12.34 per hour. Please note, these are not substantive University appointments and Invigilators are only required to carry out the main bulk of invigilation shifts between May and June 2023.

Selected applicants will be required to attend and successfully complete the relevant training session in order to be offered Invigilator work.

For full details of the duties involved and the skills and abilities required, as well as the training dates, please refer to the Job Details document available to download below.

We are also recruiting Invigilators for our Medway campus under job reference INVMED-23 . Please note that you should apply either to Canterbury or to Medway - we are unable to accept applications for both campuses due to availability requirements and potentially overlapping exam schedules at the different campuses.

Only external applicants (non-student) or Postgraduate Research students may apply. Undergraduate students and Postgraduate Taught students will not be considered.

Referees: Applications from current postgraduate research students will only be considered if the Central Student Administration Office receives a character reference from their tutor/supervisor. This reference must be hand- signed, written on the School's letter-headed paper, and emailed to [email protected] by the closing date 7 February 2023.

If you have any questions about the role or the application process which are not answered by the Job Details document, please contact the Central Student Administration Office by email at [email protected]
