The University of Iowa Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine is recruiting a full-time board-certified interventional cardiologist at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. This position will be in the tenure or clinical (non- tenure) track, depending on qualifications. This position is not eligible for university sponsorship for employment authorization.
Patient care will occur at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, affiliated outreach sites, and the affiliated Iowa City VA Medical Center. Duties will include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, inpatient rounding, outpatient clinic and a share of overnight/weekend call.
Candidates must have an M.D. degree or equivalent.
The successful candidate must have completed an ACGME-accredited cardiology fellowship and an accredited interventional cardiology fellowship program or equivalent. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy interactions with students, staff, and faculty. Advanced experience in coronary interventional techniques is required.
Board certification in cardiology and interventional cardiology.
Desired qualifications are completion of an advanced structural heart disease fellowship, subspecialty structural experience and/or CTO experience.
