The incumbent serves as Data Coordinator for the Office of International and Graduate Admissions. Major responsibilities include managing the Datatel subsystem which reports admission data to the U.S. government's Student Information & Exchange Visitor System (SEVIS), which tracks international student information and produces government student visa forms, and which electronically reports federally mandated data to the U.S. government. Responsibilities include quality management of admission data and decisions entered onto Datatel and subsequently reported to SEVIS.
The Coordinator supports student visa form production and data management in the Office of International & Graduate Admissions for new international and graduate students admitted into programs offered by the Metropolitan Campus and the College at Florham.
The incumbent coordinates and supervises the admission decision notification process for international applicants and produces application management and weekly summary reports from Datatel and from SEVIS for the University Director of International & Graduate Admissions.
This position reports to the Associate Director of International and Graduate Admissions.
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or a related field.
2. Two years of work experience in admissions, immigration, foreign student advising, or data management.
3. Demonstrated ability to manage data.
4. Familiarity with U.S. student visa regulations preferred.
5. Excellent organizational skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
7. Must be willing to work non-standard hours and/or at other FDU locations as required.
8. Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
9. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check.
