OPEN TO IU KOKOMO FACULTY ONLYAcademic Affairs invites applications for a full-time interim Special Assistant to the EVCAA. The faculty member would serve on a 12-month contract. The Special Assistant is an administrator who supports Academic Affairs by performing various tasks. The position has no teaching duties. Start date is negotiable, but July 1st is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The position will support the operations of the office in Academic Affairs in a variety of areas, as described below.
Represent IU Kokomo on university-wide committees and functions, including:
· IU Online, including scheduling and regional online collaboration and efficiencies
· Liaison with University Institutional Research and Reporting for data needs, surveys, and program review
· Serve on Articulation and transfer committee
· Liaison with Deans to respond to Academic Approval emails regarding new courses, programs, degrees, etc.
Represent IU Kokomo with the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, including:
· Core Transfer Library
· Academic Affairs and Quality Committee
Assist with Higher Learning Commission reporting and approvals
Perform internal functions, including:
· Oversee KEY budget, including improving KEY processes
· Liaison with bookstore
· Work with Admissions, Registrar, Deans on policy and procedures
Assist EVCAA with special projects, as needed
Represent the EVCAA as needed at meetings, faculty search interviews, etc.
Basic Qualifications
Required
· Rank of Associate Professor with Tenure
· At least 3 years of administrative experience at the level of chair or above
Preferred
· Experience working with ICHE
· Experience working with IU multi-campus committees and teams
