The Department of Veterinary Medicine is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Interim Business and Operations Manager to drive the Department in its delivery of teaching, research and clinical services, over the next two years. This role will support the Department for a two-year period including the duration of the current General Board Review of the Department. The post holder will enable the recurrent governance and operations to function to a high standard whilst assisting the Department in supporting the Review Board requirements and working closely with the Board as required.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the Department, working closely with the Head of Department, the Senior Management team, and other key stakeholders. Your strong organisational skills will allow you to manage multiple competing priorities; you will have excellent interpersonal skills, and the attention to detail that enables high-quality delivery of teaching, research and clinical services provided by the Department.
Educated to degree level, you will have significant administration management experience, ideally in a Higher Education setting. You will have led and managed large teams of support staff, with evidence of quality results. With strong strategic planning skills and evidence of supporting and developing your team, you will have the ability to build relationships at all levels of the Department and wider University.
