Summary:
The College of New Jersey School of Business invites applicants for the position of Interim Assistant Dean. The School of Business enrolls approximately 1300 students, with classes led by 43 full-time faculty and a selection of professional adjuncts across five academic departments. The School provides 4 degrees, including Accountancy, Economics (BS and BA), and Business Administration. The Business Administration degree offers specialties in Marketing, Management, Interdisciplinary Business, and Finance. Graduate offerings also began in 2019, including a hybrid MBA degree and certificate programs. The School of Business is AACSB-accredited and adheres to high standards of teaching, research, faculty service, and student support. The Interim Assistant Dean will work with relevant stakeholders in supporting effective and efficient enrollment, assessment, accreditation, budgeting, and student success needs within the business school.
Main Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
· A Master's degree, preferably in business or a related field
· Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience related to the scope of the position, including significant experience working directly with undergraduate students and college faculty
· Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students. Strong written communication skills that are augmented, as appropriate, with the effective use of software
· Confidentiality and impartiality in dealing with all constituents. Integrity in all matters.
