UniversityBus are delighted to offer an opportunity to join our Commercial and Administration team in our busy and vibrant Hatfield bus depot. The role is an opportunity excel at customer service, at office administration, and also Human Resources support. If this describes you, we'd love to receive your application.

Main duties and responsibilities

This role provides administration support for Uno, with an emphasis on accurate logging and processing of insurance claims and HR support. You will be helping the Customer Service team as needed, and during busy periods, for example logging items of lost property or answering phone calls.

You'll process requests for coach hires and ensure they're met in a cost- effective way. Any incidents with company vehicles or employees will be logged by you with our insurance company, and you'll coordinate all correspondence about individual cases.

You'll be the main point of contact for Human Resources support, including completing Right to Work and DBS checks in a timely manner, in compliance with all regulations. You'll also assist other areas of employment such as coordinating pre-employment checks, DVLA medical reviews, eye vouchers and Occupational Health reviews. Ordering staff uniform and issuing staff bus and rail passes also fall under your remit.

Teamwork, communication and workload prioritization are all key requirements.

Skill and experience required

Prior administrative experience in and complex and dynamic organisation is essential for this role. Your application will showcase your good IT skills (including MS Office suite) and that you are numerate and literate. As customer case is so important, you'll demonstrate an understanding of this and have a polite, helpful and confident telephone manner. Your approach will be methodical with high attention to detail and accuracy under pressure, and the ability to deal with conflicting priorities. This role involves handing sensitive data and maintaining strict confidentiality, so you will have that ability.

We'll expect to see evidence that you can collect, process and present complex data, alongside communicating in a variety for formats depending on your audience. You will demonstrate initiative and be able to learn new skills.

Previous insurance claims experience, or bus industry experience, would be advantageous.

Qualifications required

You will hold A-levels or equivalents, or professional experience in similar role
