General Description / Primary Purpose

The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of North Florida is seeking a 12-month Instructor/Internship Coordinator to teach criminology and criminal justice courses and administer the undergraduate criminal justice pre-internship and internship program. The successful candidate will teach a 4/4/2 and be responsible for cultivating new internship partners and field placement sites. The successful candidate will also supervise students assigned to agencies, perform site visits, work with departmental faculty and agency personnel, and participate in department, university, and professional service activities.

The successful candidate must have good conflict resolution skills and excel in written and verbal communication. Experience working with criminal justice and social service agencies, and evidence of effective teaching at the college-level is preferred.

Candidates must hold at least a masters degree in criminal justice or a closely related discipline by April 2022. Please note: Juris Doctor degrees without additional graduate training in Criminology or Criminal Justice will not be considered.
