University School is an innovated laboratory college prep and teacher preparation school for East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Clemmer College and is a part of the Washington County School District.   • to provide a rich college preparatory curriculum that promotes the continuous academic, social, and emotional growth of each child in grades K-12; and
  • to help Clemmer College achieve its mission of preparing professional educators.
  • We are excited to announce that we have an immediate opening and are seeking to fill a full-time, tenure-track position for 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts Instructor. Being the 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts Instructor involves curriculum integration and the ability to teach multi- level classes during the day. You must be able to work well with others, demonstrate effective teaching, and mentor teacher candidates in a year-round public K-12 laboratory school setting.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Qualifications

    Candidate must have a current TN Educators License with an endorsement to teach 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts at time of hire.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Candidates that show documentation of successful teaching experience in grades 7-12 English Language Arts and have a Master's Degree or higher.
