Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will involve teaching and program support through our Department
of Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Foundations. Primary
responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate course work in behavior
analysis. Primary teaching responsibilities will include teaching the
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and related applied behavior analytic
course work to undergraduate teacher prep majors, as well as undergraduate
course work leading to Board Certified assistant Behavior Analyst Credential
(BCaBA). The ABA program is based on the scientist practitioner model with
strong emphasis on training in the utilization of empirically based applied
behavior analytic assessment, intervention, and consultation methods. Students
in the ABA graduate program obtain a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology
with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis and are eligible for the
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential. Students who complete
the undergraduate ABA minor meet the course work criteria for the BCaBA.
Students who complete the RBT course are eligible for the RBT certification.
Master's in Educational Psychology, Education, or a related field. Applicants
must have the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential.
ABDs or degree pending considered (all but DISS):
3 years of experience teaching in PK-12 educational setting. Mississippi
Teaching License with Special Education Endorsement. Evidence of potential for
teaching face to face and online courses.
