About the Department and/or College
Established in 1923, Texas Tech University (TTU) is a public research
university in Lubbock,
Texas. TTU is Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) that enrolls approximately
40000 students, including students from all 50 states and more than 100
foreign countries. The Rawls College of Business currently enrolls
approximately 4,800 undergraduates, 850 master-level students, 55 doctoral
students, and boasts the first separately accredited School Accounting in
Texas. The Carnegie Foundation classifies TTU as having very high research
activity (Tier 1). The TTU Red Raiders are charter members of the Big 12
Conference and compete in Division I varsity sports. Texas Tech is located in
Lubbock, a city of 260,000 in the South Plains region of Texas. With broad
streets and an excellent highway system, Lubbock has the shortest average
commute in the nation; nearly every point-to-point trip in the city takes 15
minutes or less. The cost of living is low compared with most metropolitan
areas in the U.S., and Texas has no state income tax. Excellent public and
private schools are available. The climate is desirable: winters are short and
relatively mild, and summers are sunny with low humidity.
Marketing and Supply Chain Management (MSCM) in the Rawls College of
Business at Texas Tech University is accepting applications for a part-time
Instructor for 2021-2022. Qualified candidates must possess at least a
master's degree in business or the equivalent, have professional experience in
supply chain management and/or logistics, and have the potential for
excellence in teaching undergraduate supply chain management courses.
