Job Summary
The Instructor for Paralegal will report directly to the Chair of the Business and Industrial Technology Department. The primary duty of this position is classroom teaching. The instructor is also responsible for promoting the program and complete other duties as assigned. Teaching assignment may include day and evening classes, and/or online classes and labs on campus or at the correctional facilities. Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Degree in paralegal studies with a minimum of five years' experience providing paralegal services is required. Teaching experience is preferred. Plan and organize instruction in ways that maximize documented student learning. Must have skills in addressing students, faculty, and staff members in a professional manner. Must have a background in planning, scheduling, and managing projects and assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate's degree in paralegal studies required or a J.D. with at least five years' of paralegal experience. Experience and knowledge about the paralegal profession and developments in paralegal education. Experience working as or with a paralegal is preferred.
