The Department of Math and Computer Science is seeking to fill a full-time, 12-month, Instructor of Information Technology position. The anticipated start term for the position will be Spring 2022. Primary teaching responsibilities include (IT) courses (3 contact hours per semester). In addition to teaching, the candidate will serve as the Director of the IT program. This requires coordination, promotion, supervision and development of IT curriculum and faculty. The Director will be based out of the main campus in Miami Shores Florida.

Essential Functions

Essential functions include scheduling of courses, development and implementation of academic assessment plans, development of curriculum, supervision of the IT faculty and advising related to the IT program. Additionally, the Director will work with Admissions and Recruitment to promote the program.

The Director will report to the Math and Computer Science Department Chair and is expected to participate fully in department meetings, initiatives and activities.

  • Masters degree in Information Technology or related field. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated expertise and/or experience in teaching Information Technology or related Computer Science fields.

  • Excellent communication and teaching skills, knowledge and experience with Learning Management Software and online course development and delivery.
