Integrated Musicianship II

Second semester of training in musicianship skills through recognition and practical exercises.

Lab, 3 hours per week for one term, D3.

Wednesdays and Fridays 900-1030

Compensation

$3,626.73 Effective September 1, 2023

This is a 0.25 credit course (98 hours nominally)

All rates of pay include Public Holiday Pay

The pay schedule does not include Vacation Pay

Vacation Pay for Part-Time stipend and hourly appointments is 4% for employees with less than 5 years of seniority, and 6% for employees with 5 or more years of seniority.

Duties

Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement. These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty).

Qualifications

1. Relevant Music Master's degree

2. Music teaching experience in aural skills and keyboard harmony undergraduate university level

3. Demonstrated teaching competence in aural skills and keyboard harmony (e.g. references, course evaluations)

· Part-time Graduate Students and Non-Students shall not accept any appointment which, taken together with all other appointments at the University, would cause the member to exceed the maximum number of regular hours - i.e. not overtime hours - allowable in a work week under the Employment Standards Act, as amended from time to time.
