Title Instructor in Preaching in the Unitarian Universalist and Free Church Traditions
School Harvard Divinity School Department/Area Office for Academic Affairs Position Description
Harvard Divinity School seeks to appoint an adjunct instructor/lecturer to teach an introductory course in the practical art of preaching in the Unitarian Universalist tradition for the Spring 2022 term. Participants can expect to begin the process of finding their own voices in their preaching and worship leadership, all in the context of supportive peers.
The course must be open and accessible to the Divinity School's diverse and multi-religious student body. The appointment title will depend on the finalist's qualifications.
Please note that all Harvard employees must reside in the New England area as of August 1, 2021. It is expected that all instructors are versed and able to teach either remotely and/or in-person for the Spring semester 2022, following all CDC, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and Harvard COVID-19 guidelines.
Basic Qualifications
Applicants should demonstrate the following qualifications:
(1) Ministry and preaching experience in the Unitarian Universalist congregation (2) Sensibility to a multi-religious, diverse student body (3) Prior experience teaching at the graduate level preferred

Additional Qualifications
MDiv or similar degree required, PhD preferred.
