DUTIES:

Teach 12 credits per semester of Literature courses including Introductory Literature, Poetry & Drama, Fiction, Ancient World Literature, and Modern World Literature. Additional responsibilities could include, but are not limited to, curriculum design, coordination of service courses, advising, and student success efforts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in English, Fine Arts (English), Literature or Master's degree in an area of the Humanities with at least 12 credits of graduate- level English/Literature courses.
  • REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous teaching experience in college level English/Literature courses
  • Ability to teach a wide range of undergraduate Humanities courses including, but not limited to, Film, Art, Theatre, Music, etc.
  • Evidence of effective teaching
  • Previous experience with student success, recruitment, and retention efforts
  • PhD in English, Literature, or related discipline
