    Hiring Range: $17.55 - $22.74

    - Coordinates schedule building process for department/division - Acts as Purchasing Liaison - Administrative support for Division working with faculty, staff and students with activities related to instructional programs - Payroll processing for part time employees and adjunct faculty - Screens incoming calls and correspondence and responds independently when possible - Prepares agendas, notices, and minutes for meetings - Acts as custodian of department/division documents and records as well as assisting with paperwork/hiring of adjunct teachers - Composes and prepares confidential correspondence, reports, and other complex documents such as budget forms and expenditure information for the division - Makes travel arrangements for supervisor and/or other staff - Creates and maintains database and spreadsheet files.

    - Directing/coordinating the Visual Art College Foundation Auxiliary

    May perform departmental website maintenance No lead or supervisory responsibilities; explains procedures and provides departmental information for use by others

    Minimum Expectations & Requirements

    - Associates degree OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job - Two years of increasingly responsible office experience - OR equivalent combination of education/experience in office records and communications or a related field - Proficient in MS Office products to include Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook - Incumbents may be required to learn computer applications related to the area of assignment such as payroll, recruitment, registration, advising, etc) - Ability to work with confidential/sensitive information - Attention to detail on division paperwork (proof reading, problem solving) - Knowledge of division procedures - Regular attendance is an essential job function as it demonstrates dependability towards the performance of job duties

    - Bachelor's degree - Work experience in a community college/higher education work environment.

  • Personal Leave: Use of up to three personal leave days per year which are charged against accumulated sick leave to take care of items of personal business

  • Spanish Interpreter Incentive Program: Employees interested in additional compensation for their Spanish speaking skills agree to assist YC by attending two recruiting events and being available for Spanish Interpretation needs as they arise. Compensation is added to the employee's regular pay at the rate of $175 per month. Employees that are interested in participating let your HR Business partner know, so they can schedule you for the ACTFL language proficiency test at the YC testing center.
