5th largest employer in the Champagne-Ardenne area, URCA employs around 2,500 agents located on 6 sites. Multidisciplinary, nearly 29,000 students are trained each year. The university was the winner of the ExcellenceES “Excellence sous toutes ses formes” as part of the French funding program “Plan d'Investissement d'Avenir” with its EXEBIO project “Excellence in sustainable bioeconomy” (duration of the project 10 years).

The EXEBIO “Excellence in Sustainable Bioeconomy” project aims to create an International Institute on Sustainable Bioeconomy , a leader at European and international level, articulated around three priority areas:

  • Support research of excellence around the sustainable production of agro-resources, plant biorefinery and industrial biotechnologies, the environment and its quality, climate transition, as well as transformations and changes in society;
  • Create a Graduate School supporting international Erasmus masters and doctoral training of excellence connected to the socio-economic world;
  • Strengthen innovation in a “research-education-innovation” continuum, to promote “research-industry” and “education-industry” links.
  • URCA joined the European INVEST university in 2022 around sustainable regional development and will develop in the coming years numerous joint actions on specialization programs in bachelor's and master's degrees, lifelong training, micro-certifications, doctoral training programs, a Center of Excellence in RD&I.

    Job Duties

    The University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne seeks an instructional designer M/W to join the EXEBIO team .

    The instructional designer will closely work with the Department of External Relations and International Development (DREDI), to coordinate the development of new training courses (Erasmus Mundus, INVEST specializations) of the institute graduate school and the European university.

    Mission 1: Deploying a Master and Doctorate European training offer

  • To identify the training courses to be developed in conjunction with the institute consortium and the European university;
  • To promote the development of joint actions and support their implementation:

  • Animation of consortia working groups and interface with URCA teacher-researchers in the fields concerned;

  • Creating, submitting and monitoring Erasmus Mundus joint masters;
  • Creating and monitoring of diplomas in international partnership (double diplomas, delocalized diplomas) in coordination with the international cooperation manager;

  • Contribute to the establishment of summer/winter schools and coordinate the participation of URCA students in summer/winter schools organized by other partners;

  • Participate in enriching the doctoral training offer;
  • Assist in the deployment of digital educational tools (virtual, multimedia) with the digital education manager and the URCA teacher- researchers concerned.
  • Mission 2: Ensure follow-up of the training developed

  • Ensure exchanges with the components and services of the university concerned, in conjunction with the education manager, in order to guarantee the smooth running of training
  • Create and analyze activity monitoring indicators, ensure internal reporting and contribute to the conception of reports for partners
  • Manage internal/external communication
  • Mission 3: Develop transversal and common actions

  • Raise awareness, train and organize events for the university community (teachers, researchers, services, students) of URCA
  • Ensure the link between the actions planned in the graduate school and the European university with the university's other transversal projects
  • Ensure the promotion of the training offer during events

    With a minimum of 5 years training program (post A-level graduation), with significant experience in development and monitoring projects, you must have the following knowledge, know-how and interpersonal skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of the Masters and Doctorate level training and pedagogy
  • Knowledge of the organization and functioning of Higher Education and Research
  • Knowledge of the main European and international training funding programs, in particular Erasmus +
