The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Houston invites applicants for a non-tenure track Instructional Assistant Professor in the area of electrical power and energy systems. Applicants must have an earned doctorate, and demonstrate potential to develop and deliver innovative courses in the area of electric power & energy systems. We are looking for expertise in electric power transmission, distribution, electromechanical energy conversion, and renewable energy systems. The main emphasis of this position is to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels. However, there are several opportunities for the selected candidate to pursue research by working with other faculty members.

The anticipated start date for this position is January 1, 2024 or earlier.

Qualifications

:

The applicants should hold a Ph.D. in electrical engineering in the broad area of power & energy systems. Candidates should have preferably demonstrated ability and passion for teaching. Previous teaching experience, whether through graduate teaching assistants, guest lectures, or full teaching positions are all acceptable.
