Essential Job Duties
The Institutional Analyst position is part of the Institutional Analytics team in Institutional Strategy & Analysis (ISA). The Institutional Analyst works with other ISA teams to support and enhance comprehensive reporting and decision support for the university community, leadership, and other stakeholders. The Institutional Analyst should have a broad understanding of higher education and the collection, interpretation, and analysis of institutional data. The Institutional Analyst will provide timely and accurate information to university stakeholders by performing a variety of institutional research activities in collaboration with other ISA members.
The Institutional Analyst provides analysis and interpretation of the data; promotes accuracy, integrity and consistency of data and data products; and effectively reports and communicates information to a variety of constituents. The ideal candidate will have experience in the phases of enterprise data life-cycles in higher education, including data acquisition, cleaning and processing, documentation, data validation and analysis, presentation, and user support.
